Apartment was modern and quiet, bed was comfy, we really enjoyed it. It was nice and really very good very close to a main tram station. Good service, everything was perfect. The room was brand-new and there were a kettle and complimentary Wi-Fi.

The apartment was charming and clean, with a microwave, an electric kettle, and a fridge etc for me to make a meal. During the stay everything was fine and I got ironing as a compliment. The building was very good. The staff was competent and cooperative to chat with.

Overall experience was very good. I appreciated every aspect of this quiet apartment. Rooms were stylish and modern and they provided me with a big balcony and double bed plus internet. The location was magnificent, a 10-15 minute walk from Zurich Opera House. It was located in a residential area and close everything: )

The units are spacious and modern, equipped with a kettle and a lovely balcony. The location is fantastic, right next to a forest with plenty of restaurants and excellent public transport connections.

Free use of a computer and internet in the room is unusual and greatly appreciated. We were allowed in the room despite arriving much earlier than the official check in time. Staff were friendly and relaxed. Easy access to the bellevue and central parts of zurich via a short tram ride. Nice area which is quiet but not miles from the main bars and clubs. Would definitely stay there again.

Convenience of tram 3 from the HB. Clean and nice room, the children were happy.

The room was modern with three large windows and complimentary Wi-Fi, and it had a nice view. The beds were exceptionally comfortable for a good night's sleep.

The rooms were very comfortable, lots of storage space, great kitchen utensils.

No phone in the room, the menu for the restaurant downstairs needs updating. The reception hours could be later in the evening.

This hotel in Zurich truly surprised us with its value for money. The prices were affordable, especially considering the attention to detail and the basic amenities provided. The rooms were well-equipped with a small kitchenette and even a nice balcony, making our stay comfortable and convenient. The location, in a residential area on the tram line, added to its charm and allowed us to easily explore the old town.

I chose the California House because it was the last room available in my price range in Zurich that night. Guests must be aware that this is not a hotel. It is a rooming house, and organised as such. There is no formal reception or corresponding service. The rooms were very clean and quite comfortable, and the staff was pleasant, but I only stayed there because I had to. The location is very convenient however. They also have free internet, but I couldn't get it to work on my computer. Be forewarned that the street noise--trams, cars and trucks will make it almost impossible for you to sleep with the windows open. Bring earplugs!!! This is quite possibly the noisiest place that I have ever stayed--and I travel frequently for business. I could not sleep at all. Also be aware that the hotel does not have airconditioning or fans in the rooms. It was hot when I stayed there, and the room was boiling. Never again.

This hotel offers great value for money, especially considering its central location. With easy access to the tram line, it's a convenient option for exploring the city. The rooms come with a small kitchenette, providing the flexibility of self-catering. In addition to that, the hotel has good facilities, including a jacuzzi bath which adds a touch of luxury to the stay.
